Many babies "drop" (engage) into the pelvis this week, making breathing easier but increasing pelvic pressure and urge to urinate. The vernix coating is thickening before birth.

The nesting instinct is strong — channel it productively but don't exhaust yourself.

  • Dates (studies suggest easier labour)

Foods to avoid

  • Alcohol
  • Gas-producing foods (beans, cabbage) if uncomfortable
  • Very spicy food if causing heartburn
  • Raw/undercooked meat
  • High-sodium processed food
  • Large meals that worsen reflux
